Postdoctoral Research Associates in Cancer Cell Biology, Immunobiology, and Tumor Microenvironment
Postdoctoral Research Associates
are open in the
Theodorescu Lab
at the
University of Arizona Cancer Center
in Tucson, Arizona.
The lab works on
cancer cell biology
,
immunobiology
, the
tumor microenvironment (TME)
, and
induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC)
to study cancer transformation. The research toolkit includes biochemistry and molecular biology,
CRISPR/Cas9
and functional genomics, next-generation sequencing including
single-cell RNA sequencing
, and proprietary mouse models.
This is a research-intensive postdoctoral role with approximately
75% bench research
and
25% analysis and writing
. Responsibilities include designing and performing laboratory experiments, documenting results, analyzing data with the PI, writing peer-reviewed manuscripts, and helping prepare grant proposals including NRSA/T32 applications.
Applicants must have a
doctorate degree
such as
PhD, MD, or MD/PhD
in cancer molecular biology, cell biology, or immunology. Recent graduates are welcome. Preferred candidates will have an outstanding publication record or existing extramural funding, along with strong molecular biology expertise and data analysis skills.
The position is
full-time
with salary following
NIH guidelines
and depending on experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus paid leave and holidays. The post also mentions tuition reduction for employees and qualified family members.
