Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer

Postdoctoral/Research Position in Neuroscience, Stem Cell Models, and CRISPR Editing of FGFR1 Mutant Low-Grade Gliomas

We are hiring for a research position at IDIBAPS (Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer) in Barcelona, Spain, in collaboration with Barbara Rivera at IDIBELL (Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute) and supported by the Lindonlight Collective . The project is titled “2D models of FGFR1 single and double mutants LGGs by CRISPR editing” and focuses on developing advanced human stem cell-based models to study pediatric low-grade gliomas . The work combines CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing , human iPSC technology , and brain organoid models to better understand disease mechanisms and identify new therapeutic opportunities. This is a paid research contract, initially for 1 year and renewable for a second year. The salary and contract category will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience, with possible profiles including technician, graduate, MSc, or PhD level. Applicants should have experience in human stem cell culture (preferably hiPSCs), brain organoids or other advanced 3D culture systems, and basic knowledge of CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing. Strong spoken and written English is essential. To apply, send your CV and a brief description of your experience with the relevant techniques to [email protected] . This is a strong fit for candidates interested in neuroscience, stem cell biology, glioma research, and genome editing.
