PhD opening at Politecnico di Milano in the VIBRA lab within the Physics Department, focused on coherent Raman microscopy and multimodal optical microscopy for cancer research . The project has a strong experimental emphasis on SRS and CARS , as well as nonlinear optical imaging applied to cells and 3D tumour models. The position also offers exposure to Brillouin microscopy , multimodal imaging, advanced spectral and image analysis, machine learning , deep learning , mathematical modelling, and quantitative biophysics. This is an interdisciplinary opportunity at the interface of photonics , microscopy , cancer biology , and data science . It is especially suitable for candidates with a background in Physics , Engineering Physics , Optics/Photonics , or related fields. The post mentions collaboration with Prof. Pasquale Ciarletta .
