The project, titled
Prediction and analysis of success in science with complex networks and natural language processing
, will be carried out in person at the Interinstitutional Center for Computational Linguistics (NILC), a major Brazilian research center in NLP. The work is funded by FAPESP and includes collaboration with the Institute of Physics of São Carlos (IFSC-USP) and international partners.
Eligible applicants should have completed their PhD within the last seven years and have training in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Data Science, or Statistics. The call highlights strong experience in machine learning, NLP, complex networks, graph neural networks (GNNs), statistics, and Python programming. Fluency in spoken and written English is required; Portuguese is not required. Teamwork and readiness for national and international collaboration are also emphasized.
The fellowship offers a monthly stipend of R$12,570.00, a 10% annual technical reserve for research expenses, and an installation allowance for relocation if needed. The duration is 24 months.
