Dr R Aricescu

This PhD position focuses on the study of chemical synapses, which are essential cellular connectors that determine the organization and function of neuronal circuits in the brain. By investigating how these synapses contribute to the brain's ability to acquire, process, and store information, the project aims to advance our understanding of fundamental brain functions such as learning and memory. The research will be conducted at the Medical Research Council in Cambridge, a leading institution in neuroscience and biomedical research. The position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of cellular biology and neuroscience, exploring the mechanisms underlying synaptic transmission and neural circuit organization. Details regarding funding, eligibility, and application procedures are not provided in the current description.
