Leibniz Institute of Virology (LIV) in Hamburg, Germany is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/x) for the Research Department Viral Zoonoses – One Health , led by Prof. Dr. Gülşah Gabriel . The position focuses on virology , viral zoonoses , one health , respiratory viruses , influenza A viruses , SARS-CoV-2 , and RSV . The successful candidate will conduct and shape an independent research project on the pathogenesis of respiratory virus infections under BSL-2 and BSL-3 conditions, prepare animal experimentation applications, support junior researchers and students, present findings at conferences, and draft scientific manuscripts. Eligibility highlights include solid expertise in virology or cell biology , experimental laboratory experience, experience with animal experiments , strong communication and organizational skills, and very good German and English language skills. The post is an employment position rather than a scholarship.
