Karolinska Institutet is advertising a PhD student position in immunology within the research group of Professor Gunilla Karlsson Hedestam at the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology (MTC). The project focuses on adaptive immunity and immunogenetics , combining wet-lab and computational approaches to study how human immunogenetic variation affects biological function. The doctoral project will use high-throughput genotyping , monoclonal antibody isolation , deep immune-repertoire sequencing , and other genomics methods. The post is especially suitable for candidates with experience in molecular biology, coding, and computational analysis for medical research. Eligibility: applicants must meet the general doctoral education requirements (master’s degree or equivalent) and the specific English requirement equivalent to English B/English 6 . The department is looking for a candidate with documented experience in immunogenetic analysis and hands-on work with techniques such as single-cell PCR , antibody isolation, and analysis of complex genomic loci and antibody repertoires. Funding: this is a doctoral studentship with a contractual salary for up to 4 years full-time . Location: Solna, Sweden.
