University of Malaya is advertising a Postdoctoral Researcher position for the iRECYCLE-Malaysia project, supported through the UKRI Ayrton Challenge . The project focuses on sustainable technologies for e-waste recycling and critical minerals recovery , with research spanning chemical engineering , process simulation , process design and scale-up , hydrometallurgical processing , process optimisation , and sustainability assessment . The role is linked to collaboration between Universiti Malaya , Queen's University Belfast , and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS . The post is especially suitable for candidates with experience in Aspen Plus or HYSYS , strong knowledge of separation processes , and an interest in recovery of critical metals from waste streams. Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field . Prior experience in hydrometallurgy or metals/critical materials recovery is advantageous.
