The Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information Innsbruck (IQOQI-IBK) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences is inviting applications for a full-time postdoctoral position in the Many-Body Quantum Optics Project Group. The position is part of the project SFB QNNECT led by Prof. Hannes Pichler . The successful candidate will work on the theory of neutral atoms and their applications to quantum simulation and quantum information processing. The role also includes writing scientific publications, tutoring bachelor, master, and PhD students, attending conferences and workshops, and supporting the group with administrative tasks. This postdoc is positioned within a world-class research environment focused on theoretical and experimental basic research in quantum science. Applicants should hold a PhD degree in physics or equivalent and demonstrate excellent research ability. A strong background in quantum optics, quantum information, and/or condensed matter physics is expected, while outstanding candidates from other backgrounds may also be considered. Excellent spoken and written English skills are required. The appointment is full-time (40 hours per week). The minimum annual gross salary is EUR 70,167.44 according to the Austrian Academy of Sciences collective agreement.
