Kennesaw State University is hiring 1-2 fully funded PhD students in Computer Science to join Huayue Gu’s research team, starting in Spring 2027 or Fall 2027 . The group focuses on the foundations of future quantum communication and quantum computing infrastructures, with a long-term vision of enabling a global-scale Quantum Internet connecting quantum computers, sensors, and users across terrestrial and satellite networks. Research areas include quantum networking and communications, satellite-assisted quantum networks, distributed quantum computing, distributed quantum sensing, AI for quantum systems, network optimization and resource allocation, and machine learning. Eligibility : applicants should have a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field. Strong programming and analytical skills are expected. Prior quantum experience is welcome but not required. Research experience and publications are a plus. Funding : the position is described as fully funded.
