ASDR Lab (Prof. Jihoon Chung) and SUM Lab (Prof. Hyun Chan Kim) at Kumoh National Institute of Technology in Republic of Korea are jointly recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in polymer composites and energy harvesting . The position is centered on materials-oriented research with related themes including tribology , sustainable materials , TENG , and MOF . The post is suitable for candidates with a strong background in materials science , mechanical engineering , or closely related engineering fields. Eligibility highlights: PhD in engineering (materials, mechanical, chemical, or closely related) awarded in 2020 or later; at least three SCI(E) papers published within the last three years; and a valid Korean visa that allows immediate start without a new visa application. Natural science degrees such as physics or chemistry are not accepted for this opening. Funding: salary of 3,500,000 KRW per month before tax, plus four major social insurances and separate severance pay. The appointment starts in October 2026 or later (negotiable) and continues through December 2027, renewable yearly.
