ETH Zurich’s Plant4Value project is recruiting two PhD candidates to advance sustainable food system transformation in Switzerland. The project is transdisciplinary, integrating science, technology, and policy to address challenges in production, processing, trade, and consumption, with a focus on plant-based value creation and nutrition. PhD Position 1 centers on consumer choice, demand-driven food value chains, and policy, while PhD Position 2 focuses on production, processing, and agri-food policies. Both positions allow flexibility in shaping the thesis within the project framework and offer opportunities to collaborate with national and international research institutions. The research is based at the new ETH School of Public Policy, providing a vibrant, interdisciplinary environment and bridging academic research with real-world policy implementation. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in relevant fields, proficiency in German and English, and an interest in sustainability and transdisciplinary research.
