Postdoctoral Collaborator – Data Analysis and Mathematical Modeling in Pharmaceutical Production

Ghent University invites applications for a postdoctoral collaborator in Data Analysis and Mathematical Modeling within the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering, Department BW26. This 24-month, full-time position focuses on data-driven modeling to optimize production processes in the pharmaceutical sector. The successful candidate will develop state-of-the-art neural networks to accelerate pharmaceutical formulation development, collaborate with industry partners to implement these techniques, and contribute to scientific publications on their applications. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Bioscience Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Statistical Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field. Essential qualifications include in-depth knowledge of deep learning and knowledge-guided machine learning, strong Python programming skills, and the ability to conduct independent research. Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is advantageous. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
