Post-doctoral fellow in cancer metabolism

Post-doctoral fellow in cancer metabolism at Inserm U1065 / Centre Méditerranéen de Médecine Moléculaire (C3M) in Nice, France. The research team Metabolism, Cancer and immune responses , led by Jean-Ehrland Ricci , is recruiting a full-time, fixed-term postdoctoral fellow for a three-year project focused on cancer metabolism, mitochondrial biology, DNA damage responses, and therapeutic resistance in malignant B cells. The project investigates how the chemotherapeutic agent L-asparaginase (ASNase) rewires tumor metabolism across mitochondria, cytosol, and nucleus, and how these changes promote oxidative stress, redox imbalance, DNA damage, replication stress, and repair pathway alterations. The work uses a validated B-cell lymphoma model of secondary ASNase resistance and combines genetic and pharmacological tools with confocal imaging, flow cytometry, metabolomics, proteomics, stable-isotope tracing, and in vitro/in vivo validation. The host team offers a highly interactive environment with expertise in cancer biology, metabolism, and immunology, and the successful candidate will contribute to an INCa PLBIO-funded project in collaboration with partners in Lyon and Paris. Eligibility highlights: PhD in cancer biology or metabolism, or near submission; strong experience in cell biology, molecular biology, metabolism, and cancer research; metabolomics and omics analysis skills; excellent English communication; ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience with mouse models is desirable, and animal experimentation certification is preferred but not required. Funding and benefits: salary according to experience or €35,268 per year (taxes included), approximately €2,939 gross per month, plus employer-supported health insurance, optional retirement plan contribution, partial public transport reimbursement, and access to a company cafeteria. Application: apply by email with a CV, motivation letter, and at least two recommendation letters. Deadline: 30 October 2026, 17:00 (Europe/Paris) .
