Jianing Li, Professor in Medicinal Chemistry at Purdue University, is hiring two postdoctoral researchers for the Borch Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue University (West Lafayette, Indiana, United States). Position 1: Coarse-graining of biomolecules or polymers, including development of coarse-grained theory and CG modeling for protein/peptide assembly, polymer dynamics, soft matter systems, and complex biomolecules. Position 2: Molecular modeling and simulations, including all-atom and multiscale simulations of biomolecular systems/materials, molecular dynamics, free-energy methods, enhanced sampling, machine-learned potentials, and drug design. Applicants should have a PhD in physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field, plus a strong background in chemical theory, statistical mechanics, and/or polymer/biomolecular physics. Experience with MD engines or the Schrödinger package is preferred, and a solid math/physics background or prior wet-lab experience is a plus.
