A research fellowship is open at the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS), University of Minho, Braga, Portugal, in the area of Communication Sciences and Marketing. The call is reference SMARTB_2026_01 and is connected to the SMART_BUILDING_COOP project, funded by the Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Regional do Norte (CCDR-N) . The fellowship is intended for a PhD student or a master’s student enrolled in a non-academic degree course, and applicants may also apply if they can demonstrate the conditions required to enter a doctoral program. The project is hosted by CECS at the University of Minho and supervised scientifically by Professor Doctor José Gabriel Andrade . The selected fellow will support the project’s technical and scientific development through activities such as document collection and analysis, coordination of visits to management and academic communities, support for meetings and field visits, transcription of focus groups and interviews, review of reports, production of website and social media content, and publication of scientific articles. The role may involve travel to other locations relevant to the project. Eligibility highlights include a master’s degree in Communication Sciences, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field; proficient Portuguese and English; and compliance with the Portuguese research fellowship rules. Preference will be given to candidates with qualitative research experience, science communication or institutional communication experience, familiarity with Zoom and Teams, experience in scientific dissemination and reporting, and publications. The fellowship lasts 6 months with a provisional start in December 2026 , and may be renewed up to the legal limit. The monthly maintenance allowance is 1359.64 EUR , with voluntary social security reimbursement and personal accident insurance. The post is full-time and subject to exclusivity.
