positions in the
Diginomics Research Group
at
Faculty 7: Business Studies and Economics
. The cohort will work with established professors including

on the theme
“Still made by humans? The ambivalence of automation and augmentation”
.
This doctoral opportunity sits at the intersection of
business studies, economics, information systems, management, organizational research, innovation management, marketing, and logistics
. The group studies how digital technologies automate organizational processes and tasks while also augmenting human behavior, and how these changes affect teams, innovation, marketing, information systems, and related business practices.
The positions are
fixed-term for 3 years
and offered as
TV-L E 13
employment at
75% part-time
(29.4 hours/week). The role includes teaching, research participation, conference organization, and other university duties, while also allowing substantial time for the completion of a doctoral dissertation.
Applicants should have an above-average master’s degree in
economics, business administration, information systems, psychology, or a related field
. Candidates in the final phase of their master’s degree may also be considered, but the degree certificate must be submitted before hiring. Strong English skills are required (CEF C2, minimum C1), and German is an advantage. Experience with empirical methods and tools such as
Python, Stata, Matlab, R, or MAXQDA
is desirable.
