The project sits at the interface of biomaterials , nanomedicine , drug delivery , and disease modeling , with a focus on developing and optimizing targeted therapeutic platforms for chronic inflammation and fibrosis . Preferred experience includes one or more of the following: nanoparticle drug delivery systems , tissue engineering , in vitro disease modeling , and in vivo disease models .
