Postdoctoral Research Associate in Materials Characterization and Mechanics

Postdoctoral Research Associate opportunity in Materials Characterization & Mechanics at the University of Alabama , in the Department of Mechanical Engineering . The Davami Research Group is seeking a highly motivated postdoc to work on advanced materials characterization , mechanical behavior of materials , and manufacturing-related materials science . The role is suited to someone who can independently lead research projects, publish in high-impact journals, and mentor graduate students. Research interests and keywords include materials science , mechanics of materials , nanoindentation , microindentation , SEM , TEM , and potentially EBSD , FIB , and XRD . Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , or a closely related field. Strong hands-on experimental experience in characterization techniques and a solid foundation in deformation mechanisms and microstructure–property relationships are required.
