Master’s and PhD opportunities are available at Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School for September 2027 intake . The research group works on friction and wear performance of high-performance polymers and polymer composites , especially in demanding environments where conventional liquid lubrication is impractical. Current themes include sustainable polymer composites , PFAS-free self-lubricating materials , ultralow wear performance , tribology , tribometry , and in-situ characterisation techniques for studying wear mechanisms. Students from materials science , chemical engineering , mechanical engineering , and related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in tribology is helpful but not required; motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn are highlighted as important qualities. Funding: scholarships are available for eligible applicants. How to apply: contact the supervisor by email with your CV and a brief introduction.
