Postdoctoral Researchers in Mineral Systems, Structural Geology, and Spectral Petrology at University College Dublin

University College Dublin’s iCRAG Research Ireland Centre for Applied Geosciences is recruiting postdoctoral researchers to join Koen Torremans’ research group on mineral systems and ore deposit research. The advertised work spans structural geology , Earth science , geochemistry , spectral petrology , hyperspectral and core-scanning methods, 3D geomodelling, microstructural analysis, and exploration-focused studies of Zn-Pb deposits. Projects include the Galmoy Zn-Pb deposit in Ireland, the Rosh Pinah Zn-Pb-Ag deposits in Namibia, and related work on natural hydrogen and carbon capture and storage in ophiolites in Oman. There are three postdoctoral positions open for 24 months, with salary in the range €47,273–€60,250 p.a. (PD1 or PD2), plus a Research Assistant role coming soon.
