This is a
fully funded PhD
opportunity in
Anthropology
within the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. The position is full-time (38 hours/week) and offers a monthly salary of
€3,059–€3,881
.
The project invites applicants from, or with heritage in, the Caribbean or South American regions shaped by Dutch colonialism and trans-Atlantic slavery. The research topic is open and can be chosen by the candidate, with strong relevance to
decolonial research

identity
,
history
,
migration
,
culture
,
social justice
, and
community transformation
.
Applicants should submit a motivation letter, CV, research proposal (max 2000 words), writing sample (max 20 pages), and contact details of two academic/research referees. The proposal should include a title, abstract, introduction and research questions, theoretical approach, research design and methods, originality and significance, and references.
