Kun Yang

Kun Yang, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at East Tennessee State University, is recruiting doctoral students for his lab through the ETSU Biomedical Science Graduate Program. The research focus is on how metabolism and immune responses shape sepsis and cardiovascular disease. The lab is interested in metabolic stress, immune dysfunction, vascular injury, cardiac remodeling, and organ failure, with the goal of identifying new therapeutic targets. Methodologically, the group combines mouse models, human-relevant organoid systems, molecular and cellular biology, multi-omics, and machine-learning approaches.
