Postdoc in Adaptive Interventions for Lifelong Learning, AI and Brain Health
Umeå University is advertising a
3-year postdoctoral position
focused on the
development of adaptive interventions to promote lifelong learning
. The project sits at the intersection of
computer science
,
artificial intelligence
,
machine learning
,
statistics
,
neuroscience
, and
public health
, with a strong emphasis on
human-centered AI
and data-driven modeling of health and brain-related outcomes.
The postdoc will be based at the
Department of Computing Science
at Umeå University and work closely with the
Department of Statistics
and
Umeå Center for Functional Brain Imaging (UFBI)
. The research is part of the university initiative
“Learning and Brain Plasticity throughout the Lifespan”
, a multidisciplinary network involving researchers from several faculties. The project aims to use existing longitudinal cohort and intervention datasets to predict which individuals benefit from which interventions, and to develop dynamic, adaptive models that can inform future individualized interventions.
Research topics include
predictive modeling
,
longitudinal data analysis
,
health outcome prediction
,
adaptive and individualized interventions
,
brain plasticity
, and
AI-based decision support
. The postdoc will contribute to new models and estimation tools and help shape ongoing and future interventions related to healthy aging and lifelong learning.
