Laura Volpicelli-Daley

Laura Volpicelli-Daley, PhD, is hiring a postdoctoral research fellow in the Volpicelli-Daley lab for work on microglia , neuronal alpha-synuclein aggregate processing , and Parkinson’s disease . The project focuses on culturing and differentiating microglia and neurons from iPSCs , measuring turnover of alpha-synuclein aggregates, and designing experiments in collaboration with Dr. Volpicelli-Daley. This is a research-intensive opportunity with access to networking across the NIH and industry, plus career-building and presentation opportunities. Funding is already in place for three years . Applicants should have a PhD in biomedical science , experience with cell culture , strong scientific writing skills, and the ability to lead a project from hypothesis generation to publication. U.S. citizenship is required. Helpful experience includes cell biology and neurodegenerative disease research.
