Postdoctoral Fellow in Sleep and Circadian Rhythms in Cognition and Behaviour
within the Department of Psychology. The position is embedded in a research programme led by
Associate Professor Leonie Balter
and connected to research interests in
sleep, chronobiology, cognitive neuroscience, psychology, mental health, digital behaviour, ADHD, and dopamine-related processes
.
The project focuses on how
circadian rhythms
influence cognitive functioning and symptoms across the day and between individuals, and how these processes interact with brain function, behaviour, and treatment response. The postdoc will work with
large and longitudinal datasets
, multimodal data (subjective, behavioural, cognitive, biological, neural, and digital measures), and advanced statistical methods. The role also includes designing and conducting data collections, coordinating participant recruitment and data acquisition, leading manuscript writing, presenting findings, and contributing to student supervision and a collaborative research environment.
Eligibility highlights:
applicants must hold a doctoral degree (Swedish or equivalent) completed by the employment decision date. Strong research skills are important, and recent PhD completion is advantageous. The ideal candidate has experience in
time-series analysis, longitudinal analysis, machine learning, chronobiology protocols
such as constant routine or forced desynchrony, and is willing to do night/weekend work in sleep lab studies. Excellent English is required; experience with experience sampling, wearable/mobile data, and neuroimaging (PET, fMRI, EEG, eye-tracking) is desirable.

this is a full-time paid postdoctoral employment for
two years
, with possible extension under special circumstances. Salary is individually set.
