Luca Susmel

PhD opportunity at Sheffield Hallam University in corrosion fatigue , structural integrity , fracture mechanics , and materials science . The project is titled “Corrosion Pits as Growing Notches: A New Paradigm for Corrosion–Fatigue Interaction” and aims to investigate how corrosion pits evolve and interact with fatigue loading to improve understanding and prediction of structural failure. This is a PhD scholarship advertised by Luca Susmel , Professor of Structural Integrity and Head of Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange for the School of Engineering and Built Environment at Sheffield Hallam University. Funding: tuition fees only are covered via a full fee waiver. No stipend or living-expense support is included. Eligibility/requirements: the post is suited to candidates with interest in corrosion, fatigue, structural failure, and fracture mechanics. No further entry requirements are stated in the post. How to apply: follow the FindAPhD application link provided in the post and review the scholarship details before applying. Application link: https://lnkd.in/en8ncHz7
