The first topic focuses on the effects of conventional and reduced tillage, microbial preparations, and composts on soil physical, chemical, and biological properties in the Nitra and Trnava regions. The second topic examines how high temperature interacts with water deficit, light conditions, and nitrogen nutrition to affect photosynthetic productivity, photoprotection, and stress responses in wheat genotypes.
Eligibility highlights include a completed MSc. degree (or equivalent) in agricultural or natural sciences. For the physiology topic, a background in plant physiology, plant biophysics, biochemistry, or a related area is preferred. Applicants should have good English; one topic also requires Slovak at B2/basic state language exam level. Laboratory independence, PC skills, and for the physiology project, knowledge of modelling and statistical analysis, are important advantages.
