Montana State University is advertising a Ph.D. Graduate Research Assistantship in Weed Science with the Noguera Lab. The project focuses on herbicide resistance in Bromus tectorum (cheatgrass) in winter cereal production systems. This is a research-intensive opportunity for a doctoral student interested in weed science, plant science, agriculture, and applied field/lab research. The selected student will conduct field, greenhouse, and laboratory research aimed at characterizing resistance mechanisms and developing effective management strategies. The role also includes experiment design and execution, data collection and analysis, and presenting results at scientific meetings. Funding: This is a fully funded assistantship that includes a competitive stipend, tuition waiver, and health insurance. Eligibility: Applicants should have an M.S. degree in Weed Science or a closely related field.
