Doctoral Researcher in Digital Health and Wellbeing, Faculty of Medicine

This opportunity is part of the Northern Finland Digital Wellbeing Services (NorthDIGI) project, funded by the Research Council of Finland. As a Doctoral Researcher, you will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on designing, implementing, and evaluating new digital services in healthcare and social welfare. The research group explores innovative methods and investigates factors influencing outcomes in acute and critical care, with a particular emphasis on digitalization and value-based healthcare. Eligibility requirements include a Master’s degree in a relevant field (such as health sciences, health informatics, or economics), fluent Finnish and English language skills, and the ability to work in Oulu during data collection. Preferred qualifications are a background in healthcare or clinical work, experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, and scientific writing. Applicants must also meet the University of Oulu Graduate School (UniOGS) criteria.
The position is full-time and fixed-term for three years, starting on 15 January 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The starting gross salary ranges from approximately 2600 to 2900 € per month (before taxes), determined by the Finnish university salary chart (levels 2-4) and a personal performance component (up to 50%).
