Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science is recruiting a Researcher / Postdoctoral equivalent for the Circadian Clock Project in Tokyo, Japan. The project focuses on the molecular mechanisms of the circadian clock , with related work on sleep, aging, and lifespan . The successful candidate will conduct research on a theme aligned with the project budget and will contribute to the lab’s dry-analysis work. Research interests and methods include bioinformatics and computational biology , especially RNA-Seq analysis (genome mapping, expression analysis, DEG analysis, GO/GSEA analysis, rhythm analysis), proteomics / proteome data analysis (DDA with Proteome Discoverer, DIA with DIA-NN), and mathematical circadian rhythm analysis such as the Kim-Forger model. Experience in these areas is desirable, but motivated applicants who are willing to learn are also encouraged to apply. The position is a fixed-term contract and is funded by external sources . Salary is stated as approximately 3 to 6 million yen annually , with estimated examples around 4.4 million yen/year for a full-time researcher with 5 years of post-degree research experience and 4.8 million yen/year for 10 years of experience. Part-time arrangements are also possible, with estimated annual pay around 3.9 to 4.1 million yen depending on experience and work schedule. Bonuses, commuting allowance, and social insurance are included according to foundation regulations. Applicants must hold a doctorate . Strong Japanese communication skills are required.
