PhD candidate
for nomination, with additional interest in strong
Master’s
and
postdoctoral
candidates through an
NSERC Discovery Grant
.
The research areas are centered on
electrical engineering
and include
power electronic converters
(design, control, modeling, high-efficiency power conversion, WBG power converters),
smart grid applications
(grid integration of renewables, microgrids, power quality, real-time monitoring and control),
clean energy and zero-emission technologies
(renewable energy integration, energy storage, decarbonization pathways), and
EV charging systems
(fast-charging infrastructure, grid impacts, smart charging control).
Funding:
The PhD award is valued at
$40,000 per year for up to 3 years
. The post describes the opportunity as highly competitive and notes that only the strongest candidates will be forwarded for nomination.
Eligibility/preferences:
