Sustainable Energy Conversion and Storage
within the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering in Al Ain, UAE.
The position is hosted by the research group of
Dr. Muhammad Tahir
, whose work spans
thermal, photocatalytic, and electrocatalytic CO₂ reduction
,
advanced electrocatalysts and photocatalysts
,
Zn–Air and Zn–CO₂ batteries
, next-generation battery technologies, and the
design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced functional materials
. The role also includes
in-situ/operando characterization
and electrochemical performance evaluation.
This is a research-intensive postdoctoral opportunity for candidates with a strong background in
chemical engineering
,
materials science
,
chemistry
,
electrochemistry
, or
energy engineering
. The post emphasizes catalysis, renewable energy, and energy storage, along with practical experience in catalyst/material synthesis, advanced characterization, and electrochemical methods such as CV, LSV, EIS, and charge/discharge testing.
Applicants should have a
Ph.D.
, an
H-index of at least 10
, a strong publication record in
Q1 journals
, and preferably publications in top 10% and top 5% journals according to JCR/CiteScore rankings. Excellent English communication and scientific writing skills are required.
