PhD Opportunity in User Behaviour and Preferences in Emerging Urban Mobility Systems and Technologies at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus

PhD opportunity at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani Dubai Campus under the Full-Time Institute Fellowship (FTIF) programme. The project is titled User Behaviour and Preferences in Emerging Urban Mobility Systems and Technologies . The research explores how users perceive and adopt emerging mobility systems, with attention to factors such as cost, convenience, accessibility, trust, digital integration, mode choice, mobility adoption, demand prediction, and transport interventions for sustainable urban transport development. This opening is especially relevant to applicants with interests in urban mobility , travel behaviour analysis , choice modelling , transportation engineering , urban planning , and sustainable transport . The post invites one full-time research scholar. Eligibility highlights include an M.E. or M.Tech in Transportation Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering and Management, or a related discipline, or an M.Plan in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or a related discipline. Prior experience in transportation studies, travel behaviour analysis, or choice modelling is an added advantage. Funding includes a fellowship of AED 4,000 per month .
