Nina Maaranen is a Human Osteology teaching technician and collections curator at the University of Sheffield, UK. Her research focuses on human remains and mobility patterns in ancient societies, with recent articles examining topics such as population substructure in the Early Bronze Age in Syria and the cultural dynamics of the coastal Middle Bronze Age Levant. She contributes to the understanding of archaeological narratives and the biological distance analysis of ancient populations.
