Postdoctoral Fellowship in High-Field and DNP-Enhanced NMR of Quantum Dots (Chemistry/Physics/Materials Science)

Applications are invited for a fully funded one-year postdoctoral fellowship in high-field and DNP-enhanced NMR of quantum dots in France. The project focuses on the characterization of semiconductor nanocrystals / quantum dots , with emphasis on surface sites, bulk defects, vacancies, and formation mechanisms. The fellowship is a joint position between CNRS / University of Lille and CEA / University of Grenoble Alpes . The researcher will work with two internationally recognized groups with complementary expertise: Gaël De Paëpe in Grenoble, specializing in high-field DNP and low-temperature NMR, and Olivier Lafon in Lille, specializing in ultra-high-field NMR of quadrupolar nuclei. Research methods include solid-state NMR , ultra-high-field NMR (up to 28 T), Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) , and ultra-low temperature MAS down to 30 K. The project aims to generate structural insight into quantum dots that can help improve optoelectronic properties for applications such as display devices, optical bioimaging, solar cells, and photocatalysis. Eligibility: candidates must hold a PhD in chemistry, physics, or materials science and have previous experience in NMR spectroscopy . The call welcomes both national and international applicants.
