Postdoctoral Researchers in Translational AI, Machine Learning, and Cardiovascular Imaging/ECG at University of Washington

Two fully funded postdoctoral researcher positions are open at the University of Washington in the CardSS Lab , focused on translational AI and machine learning for cardiovascular and clinical applications. The roles sit at the intersection of biomedical engineering , computer science , data science , computational biology , and clinical medicine, with collaboration across UW, Fred Hutch, Duke, Mass General Brigham, and the Broad Institute. There are two distinct but complementary projects: Echo-ML (co-PIs: Lindsay Edwards, Duke; Eric Chow, Fred Hutch) covers deep learning for echocardiography, multimodal imaging plus EHR models, synthetic/generative AI for pediatric cardiovascular imaging, and clinically interpretable AI for cardio-oncology. ECG-ML (co-PI: Neal Chatterjee, UW) focuses on AI-enhanced ECG analysis, sudden cardiac arrest prediction, foundation/self-supervised ECG models, and athlete screening / population-scale cardiovascular AI. The positions are fully funded for at least one year, with possible renewal depending on progress and continued funding.
