Postdoctoral position at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), South Korea in 2D superconductors, topological materials, and superconducting quantum devices . The Quantum Materials Interfaces and Nano Devices Lab in the Department of Semiconductor Engineering is recruiting one postdoctoral researcher to work on Josephson junctions, Josephson diodes, transmon qubits, gatemon qubits , van der Waals heterostructure interface engineering, device process optimization, low-temperature transport, microwave characterization of qubit coherence, and qubit simulation/analysis. Research themes include 2D materials, superconducting quantum devices, quantum computing, topological materials, and nanodevice fabrication. The post also references related projects on highly coherent ultra-miniaturized transmon qubits and a Korea–Finland joint project with Aalto University on magnetic-field-free Josephson diodes. Preferred background : mechanical exfoliation, dry transfer of 2D materials, cleanroom fabrication of van der Waals stacked devices, low-temperature transport of superconducting/topological quantum devices, microwave qubit coherence measurements, or qubit simulation and analysis.
