The doctoral research should examine how media and communication shape

. The department emphasizes both
qualitative
and
quantitative
methods, and the project should be grounded in a clear theoretical framework, research questions, aims, methodology, data type, and timeline.
This is a
4-year full-time doctoral studentship
(100% employment), with possible teaching and research administration duties of up to
20%
. The position starts on

Eligibility highlights:
applicants must have a Master’s degree in Media and Communication Studies or a closely related field, or equivalent higher-education credits; documented independent research experience such as a Master’s thesis; documented experience with social science research methods; and very good English communication skills. Personal qualities such as collaboration, initiative, independence, and a critical, reflective, analytical approach are important.
