Post-doc position in the OPUS-20 Research Project: Artificial magnetic domains without domain walls in magnetically patterned Rare-Earth–Transition-Metal ferrimagnetic films (TWIST)

The Institute of Molecular Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań, Poland is advertising a full-time postdoctoral position within the OPUS-20 research project Artificial magnetic domains without domain walls in magnetically patterned Rare-Earth–Transition-Metal ferrimagnetic films (TWIST) . The project is led by Dr. hab. Eng. Piotr Kuświk, Assoc. Prof. IMP PAS , Head of the Department of Thin Films and Nanostructures (ZN3). The research focuses on ferrimagnetic rare-earth/transition-metal layered systems, with an emphasis on developing methods for local magnetic control and fabricating two-dimensional lattices with tailored magnetic domination of TM and RE sub-systems. Research activities include magnetic patterning, magneto-optical measurements, analysis and interpretation of experimental results, and manuscript preparation. The scientific aims are closely connected to applications such as controlled spin-wave propagation, magnetophoresis devices, and information technologies. The announcement highlights the need to identify an optimal patterning method for ferrimagnetic layers, including achievable resolution, durability of magnetic properties, and nanoscale modification.
