Postdoc in Computational Biophysics and Multiscale Simulation of Protein Aggregation

PomaLab at the Polish Academy of Sciences is advertising a Postdoc position in Computational Biophysics within a multiscale simulation project. The research focuses on the molecular mechanisms behind the transition of intrinsically disordered protein (IDP) condensates into amyloid-like fibrils , a process relevant to the early stages of neurodegenerative diseases . The project combines advanced computational modeling with experimental microscopy data . The selected researcher will work with Martini 3 coarse-grained simulations adapted for IDPs and an extended GōMartini 3 model to study conformational rearrangements, nucleation of ordered β-strand-rich assemblies, and spatial organization within biomolecular condensates. Microscopy data will be used for model parametrization and validation. In addition to research, the postdoc will prepare scientific manuscripts, present results at international conferences, and contribute to supervision and mentoring of PhD students. The position is described as a Postdoc/Assistant Professor role in the Computational Biophysics discipline at the Polish Academy of Sciences . Duration: 36 months Start date: January 1, 2027 Deadline: September 30, 2026 Interested candidates should review the full job advertisement and detailed requirements in the linked posting and contact [email protected] for further information.
