at the Amritapuri campus.

, Head of the Amrita Center for Advanced Robotics, Director of Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs, and Professor at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The research environment is centered on robotics and AI with strong links to humanitarian and applied technology.
Research areas
include: embodied artificial intelligence and cognitive robotics; human-centered healthcare and assistive robotics; multi-robot systems and swarm intelligence; autonomous field robotics for agriculture, infrastructure, and environmental monitoring; and soft robotics, bio-inspired robotics, and next-generation robotic mechanisms.
Eligibility
: candidates should hold a B.Tech. or M.Tech. in ECE, Robotics and Automation, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, EEE, Computer Science, or a related discipline. The post is aimed at highly motivated applicants for doctoral research.
Funding
is substantial: a fellowship of ₹30,000–₹40,000 per month, with enhanced opportunities up to ₹55,000 per month; research infrastructure support up to ₹10 lakhs; publication support up to ₹6 lakhs; international collaboration and conference travel funding; and innovation, patent, and startup ecosystem support.
