CLUNL – the Research Center for Linguistics at NOVA University Lisbon – is recruiting three PhD students for the CORRELATE project, Corpora and Lexical and Terminological Resources . The grants support work in language sciences, with a clear focus on linguistics, especially lexicology, lexicography, and terminology. Selected researchers will join the project team and contribute to corpus construction and text processing, exploration of linguistic data, dissemination of results, and preparation of scientific articles. The work is supervised by Professors Rute Costa and Raquel Amaro. This is a funded opportunity in Lisbon, Portugal, supported by the Portuguese Science Foundation (FCT). The stipend is 1,359.64 EUR per month, with additional voluntary social insurance and personal accident insurance available under the funding rules. The initial duration is 3 months, with the possibility of renewal up to a maximum of 12 months. The expected start date is October 2026. Eligibility is aimed at candidates holding a Master’s degree in Language Sciences, Linguistics, or Terminology, and enrolled in a PhD programme in one of the scientific areas of the call. Preference is given to applicants with research experience in terminology and/or lexicography, familiarity with corpus compilation and analysis tools such as BootCat and SketchEngine, knowledge organization skills, and the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. Portuguese language proficiency is required, while other languages are considered an advantage. Applications must be submitted by email to [email protected] with the subject line CORRELATE_BI3_M2026.
