, with broad research themes including satellite ocean-colour remote sensing, marine and coastal optics, in-situ ocean-colour and bio-optical observations, satellite-field data integration, phytoplankton and marine ecosystem remote sensing, and development/validation of satellite products. Applications to the Arabian Sea and Indian coastal waters are specifically highlighted.
Students may work with observations from PACE, Sentinel, Landsat, MODIS, and other Earth-observation missions, alongside field observations, ocean-optical measurements, laboratory analyses, GIS, and radiative-transfer modelling.
Applicants from Earth/Environmental Sciences, Oceanography, Marine Science, Remote Sensing & GIS, Physics, Atmospheric Science, Geoinformatics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, and related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Helpful skills include Python/R, GIS, satellite-data processing, numerical analysis, and field observations.
