Robert Paton

Robert Paton at Colorado State University is recruiting a postdoc to join his group as soon as possible. The project focuses on machine learning models for spectroscopic prediction , including both forward prediction (structure to spectrum) and inverse prediction (spectrum to structure). The goal is to support automated structure elucidation of natural products and other small molecules at scale. The postdoc will work across several experimental teams at multiple institutions and contribute to ongoing efforts in NMR prediction and open-source tool development . Applicants should have a PhD in chemistry, computer science, or a related field, plus experience in machine learning and a strong interest in spectroscopy , structure elucidation , or cheminformatics .
