Postdoctoral Research Associate in Infectious Disease Modelling at the University of Oxford

Two Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are open in Infectious Disease Modelling at the University of Oxford , based in the Wolfson Centre for Mathematical Biology within the Mathematical Institute. The posts are part of the Oxford-GSK Mathematics Informed Medicine Centre (MiMeC) and sit within the Infectious Disease Modelling research group. The research focuses on developing mathematical models to support vaccine development and deployment . Example projects include multi-scale within-host and population-scale epidemiological models to optimise vaccine dosing, and improving vaccine targeting and timing for different pathogens and populations. The work is closely linked to the MiMeC Vaccines Epidemiology theme and collaboration with GSK. Applicants should be proficient in model development , programming , and working with real-world data . The positions are 3-year fixed-term research roles.
