The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join Prof. Rubén Martín’s group in Tarragona, Spain. The position is centered on chemistry and specifically on developing new metallaphotoredox catalytic methods for unconventional bond-forming reactions and the late-stage diversification of macromolecules. This is a full-time, temporary postdoctoral appointment for 3 years, with an expected start date of 4 January 2027. The role is funded by the project PID2024-160739NB-I00/MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 /FEDER,UE and ICIQ, and the salary is aligned with ICIQ’s policy within the PIIP1–PIIP4 band (€28,560–€36,720 depending on qualifications and experience). ICIQ is an internationally recognized chemistry institute with research strengths in Sustainable Catalysis, Renewable Energy, and Health. The institute emphasizes high-quality research, an international and dynamic environment, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The selected researcher will carry out independent research and work with group members and the wider project team. Eligibility highlights include a PhD in chemistry by the start date, a proven track record in organometallic chemistry, especially metallaphotoredox catalysis, strong experience in optimizing metal-catalyzed transformations, and good English proficiency.
