REQUIMTE – Rede de Química e Tecnologia is recruiting one international PhD holder Researcher for a temporary, full-time contract in Pharmaceutical Sciences / Analytical Chemistry , within the project “Avaliação e mitigação da presença de biocidas em águas urbanas - A cidade do Porto como caso de estudo” . The work is based at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto in Portugal. The position is focused on the development and validation of advanced analytical methods for the determination of endocrine disruptors in aquatic matrices, with particular relevance to urban waters, environmental monitoring, bromatology, hydrology, and emerging contaminants. The successful candidate will work in an analytical and research environment connected to REQUIMTE and the University of Porto, contributing to research with strong environmental and public-health relevance. The call is open to candidates holding a doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, or a related area. Strong preference is given to applicants with proven experience in GC-MS and LC-MS/MS method development and validation, analysis of endocrine disruptors in environmental matrices, and solid skills in R programming for analytical data processing, statistical modelling, and multivariate analysis. Experience in applied microbiology and mycology is also assessed in the selection process. The appointment is funded through FEDER (COMPETE 2030) and national funds by FCT/MECI . The monthly salary is 2,408.11 EUR (Single Salary Table level 33). The contract is under Portuguese research employment legislation for non-fixed-term work contracts.
