Aalborg University, under the supervision of Associate Professor Saeed Golestan, is seeking postdoctoral candidates interested in applying for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship to be hosted by the research group in Denmark. The research focus areas include grid-forming technologies and quantum computation for power system applications, with flexibility for related topics in energy systems and advanced computation. The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships are prestigious, fully funded opportunities designed to enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD. The program supports international, interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral mobility, and is open to excellent researchers of any nationality. Both European and Global Fellowships are available, with durations typically ranging from 12 to 24 months. The scheme encourages applications from those wishing to reintegrate into Europe, displaced researchers, and those seeking to restart their research careers. Applicants must hold a PhD by the application deadline and should have a strong interest in grid-forming technologies, quantum computation, or related power system applications. The fellowship provides a competitive salary, mobility allowance, and research costs, with an indicative total budget of EUR 399.05 million for the 2026 call. The host institution, Aalborg University, is a leading research university in Denmark with a strong reputation in energy systems and electrical engineering. The application process involves contacting the host supervisor, reviewing the MSCA eligibility requirements, and preparing a joint application to be submitted via the EU Funding & Tenders portal. The submission deadline for proposals is September 9, 2026. For more information, candidates are encouraged to contact Saeed Golestan at [email protected] and consult the official MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships page.
