Graduate (MS/PhD) and Postdoctoral Positions in Soil/Plant Microbiomes, Systems Biology, and Environmental Science

The Wang Lab at the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences, Texas A&M University, is recruiting highly motivated Master's, PhD, and Postdoctoral candidates for research in the systems biology and ecology of soil and plant-associated microbiomes. The lab's research aims to mitigate environmental changes and enhance global sustainability by understanding the complex interactions within soil and plant microbiomes. This interdisciplinary group welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to Microbiology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Soil Science, Plant Science, Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and Bioinformatics. Successful candidates will join a vibrant research environment at Texas A&M University, one of the largest and most prominent soil and crop science departments in the world. The research focus includes systems biology, environmental sustainability, and the application of advanced molecular and computational tools to study microbiomes. The lab offers full funding, covering both tuition and research expenses, and Research Assistant (RA) positions are also available. The start date is flexible for Summer or Fall 2026, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
